Biography:
Michael Tiernan obtained his bachelor’s degree in Classical Civilizations and English from Gonzaga University. He is interested in reception studies, criticism, cinema, American Christianity, and poetics. Michael was born and raised in Illinois but has greatly enjoyed his time out West. His teaching philosophy and research focus on providing more critical and humane approaches to the dominant narratives of daily life, religion, and society in the ancient world.
