The department of LCL is excited to announce a new student scholarship fund, the Mary Rowan Award.

Mary Rowan Award

The UNM Department of Languages, Cultures & Literatures, through the generous support of alumna Dr. Mary Rowan, announces the continuation of a new scholarship award to fund study abroad, conference travel, and research projects for students enrolled in any LCL program. The Award Committee is looking to disburse money for projects set to take place in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. To apply, a student must be currently enrolled in academic good standing in an LCL program as a graduate student or an undergraduate student in a major, second major, or minor LCL program. The study abroad or research program can be of any duration, but longer projects will receive more support.
For best consideration, applications for Fall 2024 awards are due before October 1, 2024. Applications will continue to be accepted until available funds have been awarded.
