Kerry Poling
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Kerry Poling holds a B.A. in comparative literature from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, and is pursuing a master's degree in French at UNM. He spent his twenties playing music, traveling, and holding every type of day job imaginable. His research focuses on the way that French and francophone narratives interact with US cultural hegemony in the world system, conceptualized as both an ecological and political-economic circuit. Within this framework, his work is most concerned with post-war France and postcolonial, sub-Saharan Africa.
