This presentation is a general historical and linguistic overview of the remaining Russian dialects spoken by the descendants of Russian fur traders and expeditioners who settled in Alaska and intermarried with indigenous women, as well as a glimpse into the influences that shaped them and the urgency to document them as the number of speakers dwindles.
