Dr. Peter Pabisch - Reading and Explanation

H. C. Artmann (1921 – 2000) was the leading author of the era “Wiener Gruppe” in the 1950s to 1970s, extending into the 1990s. He contributed decidedly to the reformation of German language and literature away from the preceding historical time of faschism and nazi-ism. The “Wiener Gruppe” and its representatives influenced the entire German cultural realm in the West, but Artmann was also accepted in the Eastern Bloc because of his new literary ways.
The event will offer explanations in English and readings in German. Everybody interested is invited, yet a good knowledge of German is recommended.
